Caity, the creative force behind Mae Proper Interiors, founded the studio with a vision to create spaces that feel both inspiring and deeply functional. Raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Caity launched Mae Proper Interiors in 2022 with the intention of making elevated, intentional design feel approachable. With a background spanning interior design, art, and construction management, she brings a well-rounded perspective to each project, balancing creativity with technical understanding to deliver spaces that are as livable as they are refined.

Her approach embraces a “less is more” philosophy, favoring timeless materials, quiet details, and a sense of ease. Each space is designed to evolve alongside the people who live in it, layered with meaning, memory, and a subtle sense of place.
